clark property r+D

While working and living in Grant Park, Clark Property R+D's founder, Jesse Clark, had the original vision to activate the long-neglected Memorial Greenway. At the time, the "Greenway" was little more than a collection of blighted vacant lots littered with boulders and shrubs. Clark approached the owner of Harp Transmission, Artie Bray, who was ready for retirement at the age of 76, and placed the property under contract. Clark then partnered with Pellerin Real Estate, a local developer in Grant Park, to help with the implementation of the project.

Clark Property R+D (CPRD) is a development firm focused on creating projects with a triple bottom line of social, environmental, and economic sustainability. CPRD’s founder, Jesse Clark, has over 15 years of experience in the real estate development industry with a diverse range of organizations. Prior to launching CPRD, Jesse founded a community development program management firm, Clark Property Consulting, where he advised, managed and structured public/private partnerships for the redevelopment of over 300 residential units, 500,000 square feet of commercial space and 45 acres of urban land in Atlanta with a total value of over $150 million. Clients have included the Annie E. Casey Foundation, City of Decatur, Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, and Resources for Residents and Communities.

Prior to founding Clark Property Consulting, Jesse was the Executive Director of the Historic District Development Corporation (HDDC), a nonprofit community development corporation focused on revitalization and affordable housing in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood of Atlanta. Prior to HDDC, he was the Senior Development Director at Songy Partners, a regional commercial developer, where he implemented over 1.3 million square feet of office and hotel acquisitions and developments valued at over $250 million. Prior to Songy Partners, Jesse was a Consultant with Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group in Atlanta.

Jesse obtained a Master of City and Regional Planning with a specialization in Land and Community Development from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Central Florida. He is a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard and served a tour of duty overseas as a medic during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
